    Ah, thank you for explaining that. It’s fair to say that the cadet papers do contain baptism records, but they contain a lot of other information as well.

    Hang on, I have now found the images on FMP! My mistake was in searching under military records and looking for the 1808-1809 date when this is actually held as a baptism record with a date of 1788! Luckily, when in desperation I searched just for the name, it was on the first page of the 14,404 results. Still not sure what I ought to have been doing to find it, though?
