Changes to AGM and Lecture Meeting

Unfortunately Jayne Shimpton is unavoidably unable to give her planned talk at the FIBIS lecture meeting later this month. We hope to reschedule it for one of our meetings next year. Please see the revised schedule below.

10.00 – 13.00  Surgery. The ‘experts ‘ will try to answer your ‘brick-wall ‘ questions on Family History Research in British India.

13.30 – 14.00  Annual General Meeting

14.00 – 15.00  “ A Soldier ‘s Story – The Memories of a British Officer in the Indian Army, 1933-1947″ by his daughter, Penny Kocher.

15.00 – 15.30  Break for Refreshments

15.30 – 16.30  “From Boarhurst to Bangalore: The Story of James Bradbury, woollen cloth dresser who sought his fortune in India”  by Geraldine Charles, FIBIS Trustee.
