Who Do You Think You Are – Live 2011

03 Mar | News, Past events,

FIBIS had another successful weekend at the ‘Who Do You Think You Are – Live 2011’ exhibition at Olympia National Hall, London recruiting many new members.

Our wonderful new stand with new branding was manned by a small army of FIBIS members and trustees looking very smart in the new red FIBIS polo shirts and sola topees. (See photos below).

The new FIBIS website was also launched at this event and demonstated to visitors and   family history magazines. FIBIS Chairman, Peter Bailey, also gave a lecture on ‘Researching Families in British India’.

Everyone working on the stand thoroughly enjoyed talking to visitors about their family history in British India and hopefully we have helped many of them progress further with their research.

Visitor’s to the stand included FFHS Chairman David Holman, Dick Eastman of Eastman’s Online Genealogy Newsletter , Chris Paton of Scottish GENES (GEnealogy News and EventS) and Nick Barratt who is the genealogical consultant for the BBC show Who Do You Think You Are?
