FIBIS member Christine King has contacted FIBIS for help in identifying the people featured in this photograph of her Grandfather Gerald Wilkinson Mitchell.

Gerald Wilkinson Mitchell is seated at right hand side of this photograph taken in India. In July 1897 Gerald left Coopers Hill Royal Engineering College in England and was appointed to the Public Works Department in India. In 1901 he is listed as being in the Public Works Department in the Punjab region as a 2nd Grade Assistant Engineer in the Irrigation Branch. He left India early in 1901 to emigrate to Australia.
