FIBIS member, Ed Storey, will talk about how India came to dominate the production of saltpetre.   Ed will go thru the two-step process and explain how to find the records of people who were in the business.  He will also explain a little about transportation and, significantly, the dangers of the operation and some serious fires.  Ed will wrap up with where to find information online.
