Bridging the Past and Future

The 15th Australasian Congress on Genealogy and Heraldry will be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Darling Harbour, Sydney.

FIBIS members are encouraged to take this opportunity to hear speakers from overseas and Australia. Topics are wide ranging including British Isles and Irish research, Convicts, DNA, Heraldry, writing groups legal and copyright. Congress will take place over four days.

Exhibitors include Ancestry, Familysearch, Findmypast, Trove, State Archives of NSW, National Archives of Australia, NSW Registry of BDM, My Heritage, State Library of NSW, genealogical societies from both
NSW and interstate and FIBIS.

For those not wanting to attend the four days of Congress why not attend FRIDAY FAMILY FINDER DAY, featuring a stream of short introductory talks with access to exhibition areas (but not to Congress
sessions).

Further details will be announced in 2018 when a limited number of tickets for the Friday Family Finder Day go on sale through the Society of Australian Genealogists. ‘
