Peter Bailey to give two talks in New Zealand

Come and meet Peter Bailey, Life President of Families in British India Society and world authority on researching British India ancestors whilst he is in New Zealand. Please see details of two talks he will be giving below.

The India Office Ecclesiastical Returns are now available online, but are far from complete. Where can we find records for the remaining 30 percent? Peter will speak on how to find those missing CMDs.

There will also be a Q&A session, a bookstall, and time for conversation about how your family history research is progressing.

Lunch will be shared (please contribute a plate of fingerfood if you are able)

Porirua Branch of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists

Peter Bailey, currently Life President and previously 15 years as Chairman of FIBIS (Families in British India Society) is visiting New Zealand in February/March this year. He is keen to meet with people who would like to know more about this area of family history.

Peter lectures and writes books and articles on researching family history in British India. He is the author of Researching Ancestors in the East India Company Armies, and is an expert on India-related family history.

Peter will be speaking at the  Porirua Branch of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists  on Wednesday 1 March at 7.30 pm in the Helen Smith Room at Pataka, corner of Norrie and Parumoana Streets, Porirua (entrance across car park in Norrie Street).
