Message to email subscribers to our blog

19 Sep | News,

If you are reading this in an email then at some point you signed up to receive FIBIS blog posts by email. This means that whenever I post an article on the FIBIS blog, the website emails a copy of the article to everyone that signed up to receive the posts by email.

As it is a blog post that I am writing, and not an email, occasionally the odd thing may not display properly in the copy emailed out to email subscribers. Apparently this happened in the last post about the FIBIS AGM where the Eventbrite form didn’t display. My apologies to those effected.

FIBIS has been offering this email subscription for over eight years now, so I thought I would take this opportunity to remind subscribers of a few things some might have forgotten after receiving them for so long. As  these emails are copies of something originally composed as a blog post, if something doesn’t appear to read or display correctly in your email, you can click through and read the original post on the FIBIS blog. To do this simply click the title at the top of the email, that appears in blue, as it is a link to the actual article on the FIBIS blog.

Some FIBIS members have also contacted me in the past thinking they receive this email subscription as part of their membership, but it is available to members and non-members alike and not part of FIBIS membership.  We offer this email option as it saves people having to visit the website regularly to keep up with the latest FIBIS news.

I also get the occasional email from email subscribers saying they no longer wish to receive these emails as they now follow us on Facebook or Twitter, or they want to use a different email address. I can’t unsubscribe you or change your email address for you. If at any point you no longer want to receive these emails, or you want to change your email address, all you need to do is click the link at the bottom of the emails you receive that says “Unsubscribe to no longer receive posts from Families in British India Society.  Change your email settings at Manage Subscriptions.”

I hope that email subscribers have found this post useful. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.
