British India Discussion Circle

The British India Discussion Circle is for Genealogical Society Of Victoria members researching their family history in India between 1599 and Independence in 1947.

Convener: Mary-Anne Gourley.

For GSV members only, with no need to register in advance. Free of charge.

Aim: To understand and gain further knowledge of our ancestors’ connections to, and lives in, British India, including those who worked within the Home Establishment.

Meetings will discuss the records available at the GSV and other organisations in Australia, websites with relevant sources including The British Library, FamilySearch, Findmypast, FIBIS and TNA.

Meetings will be on the third Tuesday of each month at 12 noon for one hour.
