150 blank gravestones at Kydganj cemetery, Allahabad identified

18 Jan | News,

Our photographer photographed many graves at Kydganj Cemetery, Allahabad where the inscriptions were missing. We have been able to identify the graves with  information gratefully received from the Archaeological Survey of India who have taken the time to check the Kydganj burial register.

Photos of other graves where the inscriptions are still visible will be studied by our transcribers and the results made available in due course.

You can view the index of blank headstones  here.

Our thanks go to Archaeological Survey of India for checking the burial registers and to The Pilgrim Trust for helping to fund this project.
